Every year that passes, the average hunter ages by 10 months. Today, the average license buyer is 42 years old. By the age of 68, license purchases fall to nearly zero. At the present pace, we are only one generation away from participation in the outdoor sports reaching alarmingly low levels.
Only sportsmen can create the change necessary to reverse these statistics.
The timeless words spoken by Fred Bear, “If you’re not working to protect hunting, then you are working to destroy it,” personify the volunteer network within Sportsmen’s Alliance. Our growing community of volunteers freely give their time and talents promoting our outdoor lifestyle for future generations while exemplifying a true leadership role.
