In the October 2016 issue, Outdoor Life magazine editors have recognized the superior performance and value of the full-sized Leica Trinovid HD 10×42 and mid-sized Leica Ultravid HD-Plus 8×32 binoculars by bestowing each with its coveted “Editor’s Choice” award — a Leica sweep for the binocular categories reviewed.
In acknowledging the Outdoor Life recognition, Leica’s Brian Bell, North American director of sport optics, commented, “This is a tremendous achievement for Leica and a testament to our relentless pursuit of optical perfection, value and an exceptional user experience. It’s a gratifying pat on the back today, but tomorrow we’ll be back to that pursuit.”

Leica Trinovid HD 42 binoculars were introduced in early 2016 as an entry-level, premium-performance binocular that afforded exceptional optical performance and traditional Leica quality at a less-than $1,000 price point. Outdoor Life editors defined the Trinovid HD as “…a mid-priced optic that maintains the high quality of the company but is accessible to most American hunters.” They also recognized the Trinovid HD 10×42 binocular as “…the clear choice for the best full-size bino in this year’s field.” Leica Trinovid HD binoculars are available in 8×42 and 10×42 models.

Leica Ultravid HD-Plus 8×32 mid-sized binoculars entered the market in 2016, boasting an all-new prism design and new HD/HT glass lenses that made them Leica’s brightest mid-size binoculars ever. With crystal clear image rendering and the other performance features and quality for which Leica is revered, Ultravid HD-Plus binoculars are a perfect companion, particularly for early dawn, late dusk and other challenging glassing conditions. In conferring the Editor’s Choice recognition, Outdoor Life editors credited the Ultravid HD-Plus 8×32 binoculars with exceptionally high praise. “This is perhaps the finest mid-sized binocular we’ve ever tested.” In addition to 8×32, Ultravid HD-Plus binoculars are also available in 10×32, 7, 8, and 10×42, and 8, 10, and 12×50 models.
