Allendale, NJ: Leica Sport Optics has introduced the Rangemaster CRF 1600-R compact laser rangefinder and Geovid HD-B Edition 2200 and Geovid HD-R Edition 2200 rangefinder binoculars — each with extended ranging capabilities, and each an evolution of Leica’s industry-pioneering rangefinder tradition.
New Rangemaster CRF 1600-R Features Extended Ranging
The new Rangemaster CRF 1600-R features accurate line of sight (LOS) ranging to 1600 yards and precise Equivalent Horizontal Ranging (EHR) to 1,200 yards. Thanks to onboard EHR functionality, hunters are provided accurate shooting solutions in uphill and downhill situations. Basic Rifleman’s Rule calculations are enhanced by Leica’s proprietary algorithm, which factors LOS range and angle deviation-from-horizontal to generate accurate ballistic curves that deliver accurate shooting solutions to 1,200 yards.
The CRF 1600-R features 7x high-contrast, observation-grade multicoated optics for exceptional image rendering and expected Leica performance. The Hi-Vis red LED display includes auto-adjust brightness with fast readout of 0.3 seconds. The CRF 1600-R also includes a lightweight, compact, durable, ergonomic design for which Leica compact rangefinders are widely regarded. Selling price of the Leica Rangemaster CRF 1600-R is $599.
New Geovid HD-B and HD-R Models Offer Extended Ranging Performance
With the new Geovid HD-B Edition 2200 and Geovid HD-R Edition 2200, ranging has been extended to 2,200 yards LOS and 1,200 yards EHR, while built-in Leica performance ensures awe-inspiring glassing, precision ranging, and accurate firing solutions with the simple push of a button.
In 2013, Leica introduced the revolutionary Geovid HD-B to wide acclaim. The new Edition 2200 features accurate LOS extended ranging to 2,200 yards, more precise 1/4 MOA adjustment, plus all of the innovations that helped the original Geovid HD-B redefine rangefinding binoculars:
Onboard multi-function ABC® ballistics computer, pre-loaded with 12 common ballistic curves, delivers accurate firing solutions with the press of a button.
A Micro-SD card slot enables uploading the hunter’s custom ballistics data.
Onboard temperature and air pressure sensors contribute to more accurately calculated shooting solutions.
The patented Perger Porro prism system blends the benefits of roof and Porro prism designs to deliver flawless image rendering without compromising depth of field or color fidelity.
Ergonomic open bridge design enables more comfortable handling.
Geovid HD-B Edition 2200 also includes the Leica Binocular Harness for extended carry comfort. Selling price for the Geovid 8×42 HD-B Edition 2200 is $2,949 and a 10×42 model is $2,999.
The new Leica Geovid HD-R Edition 2200 rangefinder binoculars combines the ergonomic design and exceptional optical performance of the Geovid HD-B Edition 2200 with accurate (EHR) ballistics functionality to 1,200 yards and extended LOS ranging to 2,200 yards. Geovid HD-R Edition 2200 also includes the Leica Binocular Harness for extended carry comfort. Selling price for the Geovid 8×42 HD-R Edition 2200 is $2,549 and a 10×42 model is $2,599.
