$125,000 Donation Received by Boone and Crockett Club

The American Snuff Company donated $125,000 to the Boone and Crockett Club in recognition of the organization’s leadership in wildlife conservation. The Boone and Crockett Club manages a vast network of conservation programs, including funding research, programs that teach conservation practices.

The company featured a collection of habitat and restoration projects funded by the Club, along with those of another conservation foundation. Website visitors viewed these projects to show their interest and support for their favorites. Boone and Crockett’s most viewed project was in Arkansas’s Ozark Mountains, where Club-funded research is pinpointing characteristics – habitat, harvest regulations, land uses, etc. – of areas producing trophy-class whitetail deer.

“Finding new and creative ways to fund conservation is a top priority. The Boone and Crockett Club is honored to receive American Snuff Company’s donation. This company’s commitment to conservation is what’s really on display here,” said Keith Balfourd, marketing director for the Club.

He added, “Sportsmen and sportswomen have been the backbone of conservation funding for the past century. We would like to acknowledge all those hunters and anglers who took the time to go online and learn more about what being done for the wildlife and traditions they cherish. America’s wildlife depends on informed and engaged sportsmen.”

The Boone and Crockett Club manages a vast network of conservation programs, including funding research, programs that teach conservation practices, and a policy team that promotes unified solutions on the issues that refine and expand the conservation movement created by the Club’s founders.
