The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is pleased to announce that Smith & Wesson has signed on to be the Platinum Sponsor of the 2016 SHOT Show University. Headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts, the 164-year-old company is a leading designer and manufacturer of handguns, rifles and accessories for consumer, law enforcement and military use. This is the third year in a row that Smith & Wesson has sponsored SHOT Show University at the Platinum level.

"We are thrilled to have this prestigious, historical firearms maker back for the third year in a row as the sole Platinum sponsor of SHOT Show University," said Patrick Shay, NSSF Director, Retail Development. "Smith & Wesson continues to demonstrate an unprecedented level of support for firearms retailers across the country with this sponsorship, and that's the kind of dedication that helps all of us-from manufacturer to wholesaler to retailer to consumer-promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports."

James Debney, President and CEO of Smith & Wesson, said, "Within our industry, thousands of retail partners across the country connect each day with the consumers who purchase our products. The success of our retailers is important to the success of our individual companies and our industry overall. For that reason, we are excited to again sponsor this important program, which provides retailers with meaningful training and education that can help them operate their businesses more effectively."
